| For a clear, quick and well-organized
explanation of the land divisions within Bavaria, a trip to
Wikipedia might be
very helpful - wish I'd found it years ago! |
 |
This is a beautiful old map of Bavaria, date unknown, but perhaps
someone can advise? WARNING it's HUGE and will take time!
Reducing the size would probably ruin it! |

Southern Bavaria 1882 |
Southern Bavaria in 1882 (from FEETHS). Again, a HUGE map which
will take some time to load. I didn't reduce size because it's
part of a set covering all Germany, so to assure everything remains
readable. |

The 7 Districts within Bavaria |

Mittlefranken Relief map |
ALL the early Zellhoefer's AND Wellhoefer's were within 3 or 4
kreis' within Mittelfranken. This map is rather a struggle to
read, Mittlefranken borders not shown, but worth the effort. |
|
Mittelfranken is divided again, into 7 Kreis --
these were formerly linked to http://Wikipedia.org
webpages, but stopped working;
it is probably possible to go to their main site and find them.

 |
A decent map of Kreis Ansbach, a central location for Zellhoefer (and
Wellhoefer). |
 |
This is the area of Kreis Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim, no
kreis boundaries shown. Many Zellhoefer's lived here; some still do! |
 |
kreis Neustadt an der Waldnaab. |
