Klipstein & Petzke possible matchup
Pomerania to Sauk Co, Wisconsin

[Following this eMail inquiry, I developed the comparison list below.  Obviously research remains to be completed here, too!]

From: Bonnie Loeffler
To:  RonKZ

Subject: Ida Klipstein

Date: Saturday, April 01, 2000 18:09

I writing because I was looking for information on my Grandmothers sister Ida Klipstein,

When I came across your entry, I wonder if maybe some how our families are related.

My Great Grandfathers name was Friedrich Martin Klippstein, he was from Storkow, Germany.

He married Mathilda Elizabeth Peetzke, from Flackenheide, Germany

her parents were Jolia Peetzke & Augusta Freiburg.

Together Friedrich & Mathilda (Klippstein) had 7 children:

  • Emma Jean, my Grandmother,
  • Martha ,
  • Ida,
  • Cora or Kora,
  • Henry,
  • Ella, and
  • Edward Roy Klipstein

My Grandmother was born February 27, 1887.

The other thing that I find interesting is that Fred & Mathilda lived in Sumpter township, Sauk Co. Wi during the 1885 census. 1895 still finds them there.

Please let me know if you think that they could somehow be related.

I mean Klipsteins marrying Petzkes in Sauk Co, WI in the late 1800's is hard not to believe that they were not somehow related.
