yes I found a
Johann Konrad Zellhöfer
[RonKZ: I'm going nuts trying to figure out if this John Konrad is
actually my John Michael - both names show up in Bavarian records received
from Mani!]
born 4. August 1825
bapt. 7. August 1825
Father: Johann Joseph Zellhöfer, Farmer from Brachbach Nr. 7
Mother Anna Margaretha Z., born as a Hofmann
Church-Record Obernzenn 1825 page 240
This information is just from single pages, there are not all names
(birth, marriage, died); must look on the original Church- books. Is was
not possible to do that at my visiting, hope I can to that the next
time...
Well, I cannot see any line to my Zellhöfers, but I think, is must be the
same roots... My Z. comes from Austria and setteled in Dietersheim /
Unternesselbach / Dottenheim and this aera. And/but Obernzenn /Brachbach
is just 10 mls away from this small cities.
[RonKZ:
-
Mani's "My Z." (his
oldest known ancestor) is Sebald Zellhofer, born.1577
Gresten, Austria. While still in Gresten, vor.1630
(before.1630) Sebald married Barbara (born.1592).
Their son Thomas was born.1631. Sometime before 1659
they migrated to Unternesselbach, k.NEA, Bavaria, where the parents
died 1662-1669. Notice the unusual 15-year age difference
between Sebald & Barbara.
-
Thomas married Sabrina
Maria Gollhofer in Unternesselbach in 1659. They moved to
nearby Dachsbach where both died in 1683. Doesn't the wife's Gollhofer
surname raise a flag?
-
RonKZ's oldest known ancestor is
Stephan, born EST.1600 in Gresten. His son Hanss
was born in Gresten
-
Sebald migrated to Bavaria
sometime after his marriage to Barbara, and both died in
Unternesselbach, k.NEA. Stephan both migrated to nearby
towns in Bavaria. Isn't it a good bet Thomas & Stephan were
brothers? Guess we MUST find their parents!]
A marrriage-certificate show me Hans Z. and Margaretha oo 5. Nov 1695,
parent of Hans Z. was a Hans Zellhöfer, Farmer from Lentersdorf (you has
it from Lendersdorf/Rheinland. I cannot believe that! I think, is was
Lentersdorf nearby Dietenhofen, maybe 15 mls away from Obernzenn!! And
hundrets of emigrations come to this aera of Dietenhofen after 1650 !!!
Thats true!
I think, this is the Lentersdorf that you need! I cannot
believe that this Hanz Z. comes from the Rheinland, this is more than
200 mls away!! At this time was no train or airplane and no phone. No, no,
is must be "my" Lentersdorf.... see

You see (I see..), a lot of work and open questions....By the way, your
ancestryfile is very helpful.
Have a nice weekend
